The Progressive Loop, was the first event on Saturday Morning. It is harder then it sounds, and even harder then it looks! Contestants must start with a loop like the Houlihan, and progress to a scoop loop, and end with a roll over loop. Each loop progressively more difficult..Rope a cow, drag it to the box, heel it, lay it down. Of course as the teams got into the herd, the cattle got a little more challenging, as well. Not an easy pen, for sure, but a great time, challenging to the best ropers. As with any event of this magnitude, none of it would be possible without the participation of the many sponsors..Their commitment to the Vaquero Tradtions, is immeasurable!
